Booking Form For Story Writing Workshop

Fill in the booking form and you could have agreat day like these ladies at our People's Friend Glasgow workshop earlier this year.

The booking form for our award-winning story writing workshops is now online here! I invited my three guest writers/presenters to write guest blog posts here, too, so you can get a sense of who they are and how they feel about writing.

First it was Helen Yendall, who joins me in Bristol on September 7. As well as being our proud serial writing competition winner last year, Helen has loads of experience both as a writer and a writing tutor, so everything she has to tell you will be right on the button.

Then I caught up with Kate Blackadder , pictured above with our Glasgow group from earlier this year. Laura Stevens was one of our guests here and her first story will be published in our September 24 issue. I think Laura would agree that the workshop gave her both the insight and the confidence to send her story in and know it was what we were looking for.

In fact, without tooting our own trumpets too loudly, we’ve had a number of writers who’ve either had their first story published as a result of the workshops, or, like Susan Blackburn, Keith Havers, Amanda Brittany, Karen Clarke…. increase their success rate since attending. Kate’s with me in Dundee on September 15 and York, September 22. She offers so much great advice and writing tips that I learn something new every time, too!

And finally we have Lydia Jones for Manchester on September 26. As well as writing books about writing, Lydia’s been one of our most successful short story writers for years but I’ve never actually had the chance to meet her before, so I’m looking forward to that.

We still have places available at all venues, so if you’re quick we can save you a seat! Fill out that booking form today!
