It seems like only yesterday I was sitting in a chilly classroom with my English teacher, reading out Shakespeare’s sonnets with my classmates. Somehow, my own attempts at verse always ended up taking the form of a limerick, much to the chagrin of my teacher. We know from your letters that not only do you get a lot of enjoyment from the work of our talented contributing poets in the magazine, but also from having a go yourselves! With the Diamond Jubilee celebrations drawing ever closer, we’d love to read your poetry about the Queen, her Coronation or the Jubilee itself.
