This Privacy Policy forms part of the Terms and Conditions of Sale. By accepting our Terms and Conditions of Sale, you consent to our collection, use and transfer of your Personal Information as set out in this Privacy Policy. Definitions
Unless the context otherwise requires, in this Agreement the
following expressions shall have the meanings set out below:-
"Affiliate" means organisations which we partner, work or associate with;
"Group Companies" means Us and any of Our subsidiaries and each company in the Group Companies is a member of the Group Companies (the term "Subsidiary" shall have the meaning given to it by Section 1159 of the Companies Act 2006). Unless the Privacy Policy otherwise requires, the application of the definition of Group Companies to any company at any time shall apply to the Company as it is at that time.
2 What Personal
Information do we collect?
2.1 We will collect Personal Information such as your name,
telephone number (mobile and landline), address, delivery address
(if different) and email address when you place an Order. This
allows us to process and fulfil your Order. You have the option to
withhold Personal Information that is not required for the Order
process. When submitting an Order via our Website or by post, your
Personal Information will be collected by a third party acting on
Our behalf that processes Our sales for Us ("Third Party Sales
Processor"). Where you make a Purchase by telephone, Our staff will
take your Order and will pass your Personal Information to the
Third Party Sales Processor. The Third Party Sales Processor will
pass your payment details to a third party payment gateway in order
to take payment to fulfil your Order. For the avoidance of doubt,
We do not hold your payment information, including your account
number, anywhere on our databases, servers or records. In line with
our duty as a Data Controller under the Data Protection Act 1998,
We will take steps to ensure, as far as reasonably possible, that
Our Third Party Sales Processor, and as far as We are able, any
third party payment gateway protects your Personal Information in
accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and as set out in
paragraph 4.3 of this Privacy Policy.
2.1 We may collect Personal Information about you from cookies (small information files sent out automatically by the Website and then stored on your PC). For the avoidance of doubt, you do not need to set up an account with Us to make a Purchase;

3.2 We follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of your Personal Information which you have given Us, to prevent unauthorised access in accordance with UK data protection legislation.
4 Disclosure of your
Personal Information
4.1 We will not disclose your Personal information to any third

required by law or any regulatory obligation to which We are
subject.
4.2 We may from time to time exchange your Personal Information with a member of our Group Companies or Affiliates for the purposes of allowing them to send you information on their goods or services by email, telephone or post, unless you tell Us that you do not agree to the disclosure of your Personal Information in this way by ticking the relevant box at the time of collection of your Personal Information. If you have agreed to receive marketing material from Our Group Companies and/or Affiliates, but no longer want to receive this information, please contact the relevant Group Company or Affiliate.
4.3 We will disclose your Personal Information to our employees and companies working on Our behalf for the purposes set out in Clause 3.1. Where We use third party companies to process your Personal Information on Our behalf, these companies are bound by strict contractual provisions with Us and have no right to use your Personal Information except on Our behalf and only for fulfilling the task they have been contracted to do.
4.4 We may disclose your Personal Information to third parties if We, or substantially all of Our assets, are acquired or are in the process of being acquired by a third party, in which case Personal Information held by Us, about Our customers will be one of the transferred assets.

5.1 We aim to keep the Personal Information We hold about you
accurate and up-to-date. If you tell Us that We are holding any
inaccurate Personal Information about you, We will delete it or

you have a DC Thomson shop account, you can view and update your
details at the 'My Account' area on http://www.dcthomsonshop.co.uk.
6 Accessing your
Personal Information
6.1 If you would like access to the Personal Information that We
hold about you, you can do this by emailing Us at privacy@dcthomson.co.uk.
There may be a nominal charge of £10 to cover administration
costs.
7 General
7.1 We reserve the right to modify or change this Privacy Policy
at any time, with or without notice to you and you confirm that We
shall not be liable to you or any third party for any change to
this Privacy Policy from time to time. It is your responsibility to
check regularly to determine whether this Privacy Policy has
changed.
