Royal Brides: Princess Margaret
May is Royal Wedding month and our wonderful archives were the go-to place for us for this wonderful occasion!
As the wedding date of HRH Prince Harry and Meghan Markle approaches, we thought it would be a lovely idea to look back at past royal brides. Our archives were the first stop for this as they are rich with historical facts. The first royal bride on our historic tour is HRH Princess Margaret.
May was also the month of HRH Princess Margaret’s wedding to Anthony Armstrong-Jones. On May 6th, 1960, the young princess married her love at Westminster Abbey, the first royal wedding to be televised.
