The Wool Shop is back with their Stitch of The Week – The Chain of Hearts stitch

 

Difficulty: Intermediate

 A rib stitch that requires a little more concentration, but the results are well worth it! This works beautifully as a light piece of outerwear if knitted with cotton, perfect for Summer!

  

Abbreviations:

St(s): stitch(es)

K: knit

P: purl

Sl1kw: slip 1 knitwise

Yo: Yarn over

Psso: Pass slipped stitch over

K2tog: Knit 2 together

 

Cast on a multiple of 9 + 2 sts.

 

Row 1: edge stitch, *p2, k2, yo,k1, sl1kw, k1, psso, p2; repeat from * to last st, edge stitch

Row 2: edge stitch, *k2, p5, k2; repeat from * to last st, edge stitch

Row 3: edge stitch, *p2. K2tog, k1, yo, k2, p2; repeat from * to last st, edge stitch

Row 4: same as row 2

 

Repeat rows 1 – 4
