Weekly Knitting Preview 23rd June

knitting cardigan

What can we knit in the June 23 issue?

Cool and elegant, this mint-green cardigan features a contrasting trim to add a little extra zing to the design.

It is an edge to edge design, perfect for slipping over a summer’s outfit. The three-quarter length sleeves complete the look.

The Technical Stuff

We have labelled this one easy. There is a two-row pattern creating the main fabric, one row purl and one row in rib. Yes, it really is that simple.

Instructions come for six sizes ranging from 76/81 cm (30/32 ins) to 127/132 cm (50/52 ins). The main yarn is King Cole Calypso DK in Lime Coconut (2753), a lovely fresh green with a twist of white. The contrast yarn is King Cole Giza Cotton DK in Apple (1609). Quantities begin at 4 x 100 g rising to 6 x 100 g of the main yarn and just 1 x 100 g ball of the cotton for all sizes.

So get knitting and you’ll soon have a lovely minty-fresh new cardigan for summer.
