Stay Connected With Activity Ideas

If you’re looking for ways to stay occupied during lockdown, The Royal Voluntary Service’s (RVS) new online activity programme could be for you!

Virtual Village Hall, which is supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery, will provide a wide range of interesting things to do to help support people’s physical and mental well-being while isolating at home.

RVS has designed the themed video sessions to bring people together to take part in activities at the same time.

The programme will include traditional activities like cooking, arts and crafts, and gentle exercise.

But it will also feature more adventurous activities like beatboxing, laughter yoga and Zumba.

The sessions will be led by RVS activity coordinators and volunteers, plus some expert tutors.

The well-known faces you can expect to see include:

  • Juliet Uzor, winner of “The Great British Sewing Bee” 2019
  • Irini Tzortzoglou, winner of MasterChef in 2019
  • Couture embroiderer Georgina Bellamy

Virtual Village Hall will be available 7 days a week.

Activity timetables will be available daily on the RVS website.

Both live and pre-recorded activities will be accessible via the Royal Voluntary Service website and the Virtual Village Hall YouTube channel.
