- “Djinn Patrol On The Purple Line” by Deepa Anappara
- “Fleishman is in Trouble” by Taffy Brodesser-Akner
- “Queenie” by Candice Carty-Williams

- “Actress” by Anne Enright
- “Girl, Woman, Other” by Bernardine Evaristo

- “Girl” by Edna O’Brien
- “Hamnet” by Maggie O’Farrell
- “Weather” by Jenny Offill
- “The Dutch House” by Ann Patchett
- “Red At The Bone” by Jacqueline Woodson
We’re particularly pleased to see the Booker Prize winning “Girl, Woman, Other” by Bernardine Evaristo making an appearance. You might recall that Editor Angela wrote about Bernardine’s win (and the reaction to the announcement it would be shared with literary giant Margaret Atwood).
And who doesn’t love Hilary Mantel? Her novel “Wolf Hall” was voted one of the nation’s favourite historical novels recently. “The Mirror And The Light”, which concludes Mantel’s trilogy about Thomas Cromwell, has been much anticipated here in the “Friend” office!
