Difficulty: Intermediate

How To Knit A Cardigan

By popular demand, we are bringing you another 4-ply cardigan with raglan shaping.

This cardigan is worked in King Cole Merino Blend 4 Ply, a soft pure new wool that is lovely to wear. We have opted for the shade Rose Gold (3299).

The yarn is available from stockists nationwide but if you have difficulty obtaining it, call 01756 703670 or e-mail enquiries@kingcole.com.

The cardigan comes in five sizes ranging from 76/81 cm (20/32 ins) to 117/122 (46/48 ins).

Actual size is around 19/14 cm (7½/5½ ins) bigger, giving you a comfortable fit.

You work the back in stocking-stitch throughout and the fronts both feature a lace panel worked over 16 stitches and featuring the usual eyelet and cable stitches. Repeat the pattern up the sleeves, too.

For this reason, we have graded our cardigan as an intermediate knit.

Finally, to finish off your cardigan you will need six buttons. A good choice of this accessory can make all the different to your look, and we chose our buttons from www.duttonsforbuttons.co.uk who have a huge selection.

This cardigan is the perfect way to add a warm layer without too much bulk, perfect for cooler days.
