Time To Talk About Mental Health

This Thursday was “Time To Talk” Day, an annual observance that encourages us all to talk about our mental health.

Here at “The People’s Friend”, we’ve always taken the mental health of our readers seriously.

From advice on keeping calm to tips on navigating Self Care Week, we’ve been keen to share as much information as we can to help everyone cope with lockdown as best they can.

We’ve talked about the importance of dealing with stress, looking after your emotional wellbeing, and even offered live yoga instruction.

Our feature on Men’s Sheds highlighted the importance of community to men’s mental health, and we’ve expounded the importance of sleep, fitness and mood-boosting foods.

Not only that, but we chose a very special sponsor for the first season of our story podcast, “Reading Between The Lines”.

The Oddfellows combats loneliness by helping its members forge lasting friendships, and offering help and support in times of need.

The charity has a national network of 115 branches and more than 400,000 UK members. It aims to ensure no one has to face life’s ups and downs alone, no matter their circumstances.

We’re proud to be their partner.
