Sarah Swatridge: “Part of a team that brings such warm & uplifting stories”

As part of our 150th celebrations, we asked our writers to let us know what the “Friend” means to them.

Here, Sarah Swatridge shares her thoughts:

“I have always felt very proud to write for ‘The People’s Friend’ and to feel part of the team that brings you such warm and uplifting stories each week.

“I particularly enjoy writing for the ‘Friend’ because I feel we’re on the same wavelength. I suspect the things that interest me and I think will make a good story, will be the sort of thing the editors are looking for, providing I do my piece and present it well.

“As well as writing for the ‘Friend’, I look forward each week to reading heart-warming tales based around important things like family and friends.”
