We are delighted with our partnership with Warner Leisure Hotels, we started this in March 2018 at Alvaston Hall Hotel in Cheshire and have not looked back since!

These breaks bring people who read and love the “Friend” together, offering everyone who attends the chance to renew existing friendships and make new ones, too.  The breaks are packed with lots of “Friend” activities such as craft sessions, talks from “Friend” contributors, the chance to meet some of the “Friend” team and of course our Editor in Chief, Angela.

Our Next Break

Dear Friends, I am delighted to let you know about our 150th Birthday Party weekend at Warner’s Alvaston Hall Hotel.  This fabulous weekend break will bring people who read and love the “Friend” together in celebration, offering everyone who attends the chance to renew existing friendships and make new ones, too.  You will meet some of “The People’s Friend” team, learn about the fascinating history of the magazine, take part in interactive crafting workshops, enjoy talks from favourite contributors to the magazine.  I look forward to meeting you there to help us celebrate our 150th anniversary.

Angela Gilchrist, Editor-in-chief, The People’s Friend.

Don’t just take our word for it, here are some of our readers talking about how much they enjoyed The People’s Friend previous Warner breaks.
