Features Sneak Peek: October 20, 2018 issue
Even if you don’t like books, Hay on Wye is a gorgeous town in its own right.
But for book-lovers, it’s an absolute must-visit. Simon Whaley is in town this week for our cover feature, exploring its many charms.
Our Pets As Therapy series continues, too, with a big day for Emma and Hansie as they get assessed by the PAT team. There’s a great wee picture of a pug in a P.A.T. bandanna that makes me chuckle every time I see it!
Deborah Siepmann visited the Killerton Costume Museum for us earlier in the year, and we’ve finally got it into the magazine. I had hoped to get it in sooner, but we’ve been so busy with features – the exhibition currently on is there for another 3 weeks, so don’t miss your chance to visit. It’s a great day out – just up the road from where I grew up, so we’ve been there a few times!
Speaking of not missing out, this is the second week of our competition to win tickets to our 150th party next January.
Our recipes celebrate National Curry Week – Britain’s favourite dish! And Liz has got a lovely textured cardigan on the Knitting pages.
Our Talking Point this week asks the question: Is it time that we stop getting paper receipts? Join the conversation on page 81!
