A Chat With “Riverside” Author Glenda Young

We were lucky enough to be joined by a guest for last week’s “Friend” Facebook Live: Glenda Young, author of “Riverside”, our weekly soap.

Glenda sat down for a chat with Fiction team’s Tracey, who had a few questions for her — including some submitted by our readers.

It was fascinating to listen to such a popular writer talk about her work.

Not only does she write “Riverside”, but also many short stories for “The People’s Friend” and other magazines.

On top of that, she writes novels and companion books for the long-running British TV soap “Coronation Street”.

She’s certainly never short of things to do!

If you want to hear all about her life as a writer, and pick up some hints and tips from someone who’s had an enviable amount of success, watch the full interview below.

Glenda has previously given us a little insight into her work as part of our Writer Of The Week series.

For more from the “Friend” team, read our blog here.

Like us on Facebook and tune in every Friday at 11 a.m. for our live sessions. Sometimes there’s a guest, but most of the time it’s the team looking forward to a nice natter!
