Spend A Year With The People’s Friend

The People’s Friend Calendar for 2018 is now on sale on our website and, once again, we’ve been delighted with the feedback from our readers on the calendar’s wonderful scenic images. The calendar features twelve hand-picked watercolour images from locations around the UK, and they really do cover the whole country – from the Highlands of Scotland to Cornwall, via Fife, Cumbria, and the Brecon Beacons!

Just like the illustrations, which are synonymous with the cover of The People’s Friend magazine, the calendar images also give the reader a little bit of interesting information on each of the locations we’ve featured.

People's Friend Calendar 2018 October

One of our favourites is the stunning image for October, which features Loch Affric in Inverness-shire. The loch-side location is part of a protected National Nature Reserve, and the woodland, so beautifully reflected in the water, is ancient Caledonian forest populated with Scots Pines. Images like this are what make selecting locations for the calendar so difficult – there are so many wonderful places to choose from, and we want to visit all of them!

People's Friend Calendar 2018 June

Another of our favourites is the lovely image for June, which shows the ever-popular Cornish town of St Ives, on a sunny day. With boats moored in the harbour and sea gulls flying overhead, we’re almost transported back to a summer holiday in the beautiful coastal town, with all its artistic associations and fantastic galleries.

The calendar is available online now for only £7.99, and we also offer a handy money-saving two-pack, as we know so many of our readers like to treat themselves to a calendar and gift another one to a friend.

Whether the calendar brings back happy memories of family holidays, or inspires you to visit lots of new places in 2018, we hope you’ll enjoy spending the year with The People’s Friend!
