Keeping Up With The “Friend” Family

the Friend

The “Friend” is more than just a magazine, isn’t it?

We know you like to lose yourselves in the pages of your favourite magazine. But there are a number of other ways you can engage with us, especially during these tricky times.

If you want to get involved on social media, there are a couple of ways you can join in the fun.

Every Tuesday at 11 a.m. on Twitter we host the #PFWritingHour.

Anyone can join in! We discuss everything from writing, to what we’re reading, to what inspires us.

It’s a lovely community and there’s always time for a general chat.

Our Twitter page is also the go-to spot for shout-outs about all sorts of things — including what sort of stories Fiction Ed Lucy is hoping to see come through. Poetry Ed Abbie will keep you up to date on what she needs, too.

We also have a brilliant Facebook page, which is a bit like sitting down with lots of friends for a cup of tea and a chat.

Every Friday at 11 a.m. is the time for Facebook Live. Members of your “Friend” family will have a blether and tell you about the magazine and what’s happening. Why not join us?

We’re even on Pinterest!

We also need your wonderful letters for our Between Friends page. We love to hear from you and see your photos and you can e-mail them here.

You can keep up to date by subscribing to our Newsletter and Fiction Newsletter.

They’ll pop into your inbox with all the latest news about the magazine. And there’s always bonus reading, too.

We have lots of content here on the website, so you’ll always have something to look at or read.

We always want to know what you think, so please get in touch on Facebook or Twitter and can ask us anything!

And, of course, you can always keep up with the “Friend” team here on our blog!

Tracey Steel

Having worked on a number of magazines over the years, Tracey has found her perfect place on The Friend as she’s obsessed with reading and never goes anywhere without a book! She reads all the PF stories with a mug of tea close by and usually a bit of strong cheese too!
