Craft Preview: March 19, 2022 issue

craft preview

It’s time for our craft preview, highlighting the fab project in our March 19 issue.

This week we show you how to add a personal touch to your home with decorative coasters.

Our coasters feature dried flowers in a resin base. We have graded them as easy with step-by-step instructions for you to follow.

You will need a selection of dried flowers, wooden coasters with a lip and Pebeo Gedeo Bio-Based Crystal Resin. The resin is available from many craft outlets including www.hobbycraft.co.uk.

You can either buy dried flowers or dry your own. We include details on how to do that, too.

Easy To Make

Once you have your materials together, it is easy to create your coasters.

Before you begin, be aware that you will need to work in a well-ventilated area while working with resin. You also need to wear a respirator mask and disposable gloves.

The coasters just need 24 hours to set and then you can display your work around the home. These would make a lovely gift, too.
