Crochet A Gilet: How To

Difficulty: Easy

This week, readers will be able to crochet a two-tone gilet featuring patch pockets worked in an organic cotton.

The gilet coms in six sizes ranging from 76/81 cm (30/32 ins) to 127/132 cm (50/52 ins). Actual size is around 18/13 cm (7/5 ins) larger giving a comfortable fit, and allowing you to wear a layer underneath.

We have used Stylecraft Organic Cotton DK in shades Storm (7204) and Coral (7180).

If you prefer not to use cotton, we have also given quantities for using Stylecraft Life DK.

We have graded this gilet as Easy. The stitches used are double crochet, half-treble, treble and double-treble. The UK terms are used throughout. Details on how to change to US terminology is available online.
