Knit A Top: How To

Difficulty: Easy

We have a real sizzler of a design for you this week.

This little top is perfect for sunny days and will work up quickly.

It comes in five sizes ranging from 81/86 cm (32/34 ins) to 102/107 (40/42 ins). Actual size is around 8/3 cm (4/1 in(s)) bigger. This gives a snug fit so if you prefer a looser fit, consider working a size up.

We have used a cotton-blend yarn to offer extra comfort.

Rico Design Creative Lazy Hazy Summer Cotton DK is our choice, a blend of cotton, acrylic and polyester. The yarn is multi tonal and spiral plied to create a lovely fabric.

The shade used is Mustard (003) and you can view alternative shades and order direct from www.laughinghens.com.

You can make the first size for around £16.50 and the next three sizes for just over £20. A bonus is that it is a fully vegan yarn, too.

The front features an eyelet pattern running vertically up towards the shoulder. This is worked over 28 rows. There is nothing too difficult as long as you keep track of the row you are working on, so we have graded this an easy design.

We hope you will enjoy making this lovely little top. Fingers crossed we have many sunny days for you to show it off!
