We have a casual striped cardigan for you this week.

Our relaxed-style cardigan is worked in pure cotton for extra comfort.

We have used Stylecraft Savannah Aran in the shade Desert (3790) to make our summer cardigan. This is a self-striping yarn in 100% cotton. This yarn does all the work in creating the striped effect.

You can find out more about the yarn, view alternative shades and find a local stockist at www.stylecraft-yarns.co.uk.

We have graded this cardigan as an easy knit. It has raglan shaping, which we know is popular with many of you.

The overall pattern is achieved by repeating a P1, K4 repeat on the right side and a purl row on the wrong side. It also features garter-stitch edgings.

Sizes range from 76/81 cm (30/32 ins) and actual size is around 16/11 cm (6/4 ins) bigger, to give a loose, comfortable fit.

In addition to the yarn, you will need four buttons and ours came from www.duttonsforbuttons.co.uk who have a huge range available.

With its combination of a soft, cotton yarn, bright colours and raglan shapings, we believe this cardigan is a real winner.
