Full disclaimer: I don’t really own a bookcase.

It’s more like a few bookshelves here and there. And some drawers. And a cupboard.

Plus a pile on the floor.

But after seeing the Fiction team sharing theirs, I wanted to get in on the act!

As you can see,  I felt like the photos should reflect my organisational skills . . .

I have quite an eclectic taste when it comes to books.

I’ve found myself leaning a lot more towards biography recently, which isn’t something that had really interested me much before.

Of course, it helps when the biography is of someone like Ranulph Fiennes. Turns out he’s done some quite interesting things in his life . . .

Billy Connolly “Tall Tales And Wee Stories” is the next one on the list. He’s spent his entire life entertaining people with his storytelling, so I’m expecting it to be quite entertaining!

You’ll notice a fair few Russian authors in there, too. A hangover of studying Russian literature at university, I suppose.

Or I’m just a bit of a nihilist at heart . . . there’s not much good cheer in those pages!

I’m part-way through Ernest Hemingway’s “A Farewell To Arms” at the moment. I’m a big fan of his short stories, but I’m finding the book a bit of a slog.

In my opinion, his style suits a shorter form. Quite a few others disagree!
