Crochet design: Long-line tunic

Difficulty: easy

We have a treat of a crochet design for readers this week — step into Spring with a lovely lilac long-line tunic.

It’s perfect for this time of year and looks great either over a t-shirt or on its own.

We have chosen Rico Fashion Cotton Light & Long Tweed yarn that, as the name suggests, is a mix of cotton, acrylic and polyamide. It has a lovely soft feel and creates a colourful gradient with a tweed fleck.

The shade featured is Lilac (014) but there is a good range of colours available if you prefer something else.

Instructions come in six sizes ranging from 79/84 cm (31/33 ins) to 117/122 cm (46/48 ins) with actual size around 15/10 cm (6/4 ins) bigger giving a comfortable fit.

It is mainly trebles with the body worked in treble clusters with back post and front post trebles adding texture.

The yoke features single trebles throughout with decreases for the shaping.
