Raglan Sweater Knitting Preview: January 14, 2022 issue

We have a classic raglan sweater knit for you this week – always a reader favourite!

Difficulty: Intermediate

Our raglan sweater has a fresh look with a lace panel with twist borders worked front and back. The twist pattern repeats on the sleeves.

We have used West Yorkshire Spinners Bo Peep DK in the shade Sparkle (728), a lovely pastel colour. The yarn is made using pure Falkland Islands wool with added nylon for strength, and is machine washable up to 40°C.

If you would like to view the other shades available or find details of your local stockist, visit www.wyspinners.com.

Our sweater comes in six sizes ranging from 76/81 cm (30.32 ins) to 127/132 cm (50/52 ins) with actual size being around 15/10 cm (6/4 ins) larger to give a comfortable fit.

We have graded this as an Intermediate design. This lace panel is worked over 27 stitches and 8 rows front and back. A simpler twist panel over a four-row pattern features on the sleeves.

The finishing touch is a picot edge around the neckline.

Many readers request a raglan sweater knit so we hope this one will be a winner.
