How To Make A Crochet Bag

Our crochet bag combines good looks with practicality.

You will need Paintbox Wool Mix Super Chunky or similar in shade Stormy Grey (904) with contrasts in Blush Pink (954), Vintage Pink (955), Washed Teal (932) and Slate Green (926).

In addition to the yarn, you will need lining fabric, bag handles and an 8 mm crochet hook.

You can find out more about the yarn at www.lovecrafts.com.

We have graded this as an easy make. The bag is crocheted in one piece over 29 rounds. The colourful pattern is embroidered on once the crochet is complete, using the contrast shades and a large-eyed tapestry needle.

Once the embroidery is worked, insert the lining and add the bag handles.

Your bag is then ready for use.

This bag design is taken from the book, “Embroidered Crochet” by Anna Nikipirowicz, published by Search Press, price £12.99. We have an offer of free p & p in the magazine.

To find out more about the book, visit www.searchpress.com.

We think this is the perfect accessory and would also make a lovely gift – maybe even filled with Easter eggs or spring flowers.
