150th Birthday Party: Entertainment Announced!
With under two months to go now until our big 150th birthday party, the entertainment plans are falling into place.
Whether you’ve already booked or are still on the fence about coming, we’re delighted to be able to finally tell you a bit more about what’s going on.
Over and above the wonderful entertainment that Alvaston puts on there are going to be some special “Friend” touches.
As it’s Friday, we’ll reveal what’ll be happening on that first Friday of the long weekend!
It’s Only Just Begun
Check-in is from 3pm, and if you’re keen to get going you can head straight into a quiz at 4. It’s about movies and musicals, so test your knowledge with 45 minutes of questions.
Then there’s an official welcome from us at 5pm. There’ll be a glass of something lovely waiting for you on your table.
Dinner is from 6 to 7.30, and then from 8pm there’s a choice of three different entertainments – either live music, a bingo session or a film (we do need your help to pick a film, click here to help us out).
If you choose the live music, you’ll be treated to a selection of styles and genres from decades of musical history – featuring Party Variety Band The Blackjacks and outstanding in house team vocalists – to celebrate our 150 years of history!
