Short Stories

Our opening story this week is “The Missing Locket” by Suzan Lindsay Randle. We’re in 1894, and young Percy must prove that he is not a thief. Illustration from Sailesh Thakrar (above).

One lady’s daily commute will never be the same again, in “One Last Journey”, by Alison Wassell.

Zoe spots a possible Prince Charming – on the upper deck of the bus stopped in traffic right outside her window! “Meeting Mr Corky” by Sara Partington is illustrated by Ruth Blair.

Devin is anxious about meeting his son’s girlfriend, in Teresa Ashby’s “Bring Her Home”. Illustrated by Kirk Houston…

…and a little sister is excited to start school, in “Ready, Year One” by Eirin Thompson.

Our final story of this issue is Katie Ashmore’s “Caving In”, where one man must search for a moment of clarity amongst the darkness… Artwork from Karen Milne.

Serials

A new three-part serial begins today – Liz Filleul’s “Manor Of Mystery”. Set in 1958, private detectives Jon and Pat head to Cornwall, in search of a missing man…Artwork from David Young.

It’s Part Two of “Under The Apple Trees”, by Sara Partington – and the first day of hard work for the volunteers. But who can Abigail trust? Artwork throughout by Gerard Fay.
