Some Favourites From Special 194

special

Did you manage to pick up a copy of Special 194?

It really was a cracker, if we do say so ourselves! Plus, it seems to have gone down well with our readers, too, which we’re so pleased about!

We packed it with some great stories and fascinating features. There was even room for a brand new writer, in amongst a host of old favourites.

Last week on our Facebook Live broadcast, Features Ed Alex and Fiction Ed Lucy took some time out to talk about the issue, and what they liked most.

It was a great wee discussion, which also touched on our process for signing up new writers, the new addition to our Classics Collection (“The Inheritance”, by Annie S. Swan), and our new online Pan Macmillan vouchers.

Remember, “The People’s Friend” Facebook Live happens every Friday at 11 a.m. Some of the team will get together (at an appropriate social distance) to talk about anything from what’s been in the news to what’s been in our issue. And to chat to our readers!

Click here to like us on Facebook — that way you won’t miss out.

Or you can follow all things “Friend” on Twitter, including our very popular “Writing Hour” series, or on Pinterest.

You can subscribe to “The People’s Friend” Special over at the DC Thomson Shop. Then, every three weeks, we’ll deliver a new issue straight to your door — no matter where you live in the world. Our next one is out next week!
